According to David, Victoria’s eating habits have remained unchanged since the day they met.

In a recent interview, the football legend revealed that his wife has stuck to the same meal every day for over two decades.

David Beckham Opens Up About Their Culinary Differences

Speaking on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, David shared his love for fine cuisine and how it contrasts with Victoria’s simpler tastes.

“I get quite emotional about food and wine,” he said. “When I’m eating something great, I want everyone to try it.” Unfortunately for David, his desire to share culinary experiences is often met with Victoria’s steadfast preference for plain food.

“Since I met her, she only eats grilled fish and steamed vegetables,” he revealed. “She will very rarely deviate from that.”

The One Time Victoria Deviated

David recalled a rare moment when Victoria strayed from her usual meal. While pregnant with their daughter Harper, she tried something from David’s plate.

“It was one of my favourite evenings,” he said, though he admits he can’t recall what the dish was. “It was the most amazing thing, but she hasn’t eaten it since.”

A Culinary Adventure for David When Home Alone

While Victoria’s diet may be consistent, David’s passion for cooking and experimenting with flavors is far from ordinary. During a recent period of isolation, David indulged in one of his best meals in years.

“I had just come back from Italy and had to isolate for five days. Victoria’s parents had a party, and I couldn’t go, so I had the house to myself,” he explained.

Making the most of his solitude, he treated himself to a culinary feast. “I had two of the most amazing cuts of meat—one was a T-bone, and the other was English wagyu. I poured myself a glass of exquisite red wine and set up the barbecue,” he said, reminiscing about the perfect day.

Mastering the Art of the Barbecue

David detailed his meticulous preparation process: “I think there’s nothing better than when you have time to get everything right. I made a simple tomato and shallot salad and cooked the meat to perfection,” he said, adding that he prefers his steak rare to medium-rare.

“I don’t like to brag, but it was cooked perfectly,” he continued. David grilled the steak for six to seven minutes on each side, seasoned only with salt and pepper. “It was the most amazing meal I’ve had in a long time, and since I was alone, I ate it all,” he confessed with a chuckle.

The Secret to a Long-Lasting Marriage?

Despite their differing palates, the Beckhams’ relationship has stood the test of time. David’s revelations about Victoria’s eating habits, while surprising to many, are just another example of how this couple has learned to balance their differences.

Whether it’s David indulging in a rare steak while Victoria sticks to her grilled fish, their mutual respect and support for each other’s choices are clearly part of their lasting bond.
