In his 4 NBA seasons (and counting) playing for the Miami Heat we have seen various Tyler Herro Haircut styles which have ranged from his,
- Modern Quiff
- Quiff and Drop Fade
- Mohawk and Drop Fade
- Braided Man Bun
- Fohawk
In an alternative universe players would only be highlighted for their skill and athletic ability, end of, however in today’s modern world we see a great level of interest towards the athletes hair and grooming habits.
Our editorial highlights his current signature hairstyle along with his hair type and gallery of his previous styles
Here are the Best Tyler Herro Haircut Moments
Modern Quiff
In our 1st example we can see Tyler sporting his signature modern quiff during a photoshoot he did with ODDA Magazine back in 2021.
Whilst the hairstyle was originally made popular amongst British youth, today we can see a great example of men across the pond making this their signature look.
His quiff is styled voluminous whilst being brushed up. Now the good thing about the quiff is that you have the option to style it, left, right or leave it messy.
You may need some mousse and a blow dryer to create your desired volume!
Quiff and Drop Fade
From the same photoshoot we can see his quiff, however this time we chose a picture with his head tilted to get a proper glance at the drop fade.
In the image below which features Tyler and Jack Harrow he is facing forward making his hair look more like a high top, which is why we offered the angle above
Jack Harlow’s Hair is seen in signature curls whilst Tyler’s is seen in his signature quiff and drop fade.
The drop fade creates the contrast which results in more attention being directed towards the top of the head.
In addition to this the drop fade can form the base of a well-sculpted pompadour or undercut, just need a barber that knows what he’s doing.
Mohawk and Drop Fade
Whilst this is a rare haircut for the young athlete we saw Tyler do something out of the ordinary with his hair during an Armani Partnership, styling a mohawk haircut.
If you look closely where his line up towards the left side of his head you will see that his hair fades after this point.
We also know that product has been used on the top of his head to further accentuate his mohawk and bring attention to the overall look.
One thing that will be made clear throughout is that Tyler changes his hair on top, whether that be his mohawk, comb over, quiff or braids, however what remains consistent are his fades.
Braided Man Bun
His braided man bun, though it was only short lived was surely unexpected at the time and we have to say it look great.
With the foundation of all Tyler Herro Haircuts being shaved sides and fades this was also the case with his cornrows.
His cornrows had creative patterns which further made him stand out, what’s even more interesting about this is unique braided hairstyles were a unique way to identify each tribe in African culture.
Fast forward to today and we see athletes doing this, whether conscious of it or not its always a work of art.
Fohawk
Since Tyler usually has his sides trimmed the transition between his drop fade, mohawk and fohawk are quite seamless.
Whilst there are similarity between this and the mohawk it’s a standalone style as it’s the more subtle of the 2 and can be worn in various settings, the mohawk, not so much.
The faded sides is what creates the sophisticated contrast and after hair is grown out your able to repeat the same style of getting the mohawk or any fade variation.
Facial Hair (or Lack of)
I mean were really being nice here but adding a facial hair section because he’s got a baby face really, minimal facial hair (no shade)
However when we take a closer look we can see a thin moustache along side chin hair.
We usually say facial hair depending on the hairstyle plays a significant role as it can enhance the overall look, however there’s not much to work with here!
NBA Graphics
The classic Tyler Herro haircut also appears in the various NBA 2K video games released since he was last drafted back in 2019.
The most distinctive feature about a player often times is their facial shape and hair, and in Tyler’s case his signature drop fade and quiff is featured in the game!
