Off Scalp Braids
Rowdy’s first major appearance was in his childhood friends video Bobby Shmurda for the song Hot Nigga. From the moment the camera turned to Rowdy we saw his off scalp braids.
After the success of the song, he began to also create music which features visuals of his hair in his signature off scalp braids.
While he does do other styles he does not sway far from his signature look.
Perm
Only a select few rappers with braids could unravel their hair, transition into a perm, and look effortless with it. Rowdy has done this on several occasions as a statement hairstyle.
Outside of Rowdy we often saw Snoop Dogg’s hair in a perm which we believe influence the next generation of rappers to be daring with their style.
Twists
The perfect alternative to braids, 2 strand twists!
We have seen rowdy sport the twists in his hair multiple times, and this is a great protective style.
In addition to this he has a faded line up at the front and sides which makes the style even more distinctive.
Our twists for men editorial will cover how you can achieve the same look!
