An OnlyFans creator has described the upsetting moment she realized a close relative had been paying to view her explicit material online.
Like many content makers, 27-year-old Sharna Beckman draws an audience mostly made up of strangers who follow her from afar.
She told readers she was shocked when she recognised the name of one of her subscribers.
The creator said the account belonged to her cousin, who had been subscribed to her page for more than two months.
Speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Beckman described confronting him and being given an explanation she called an excuse.
“He tried telling me that it wasn’t him, it was his actually his friend, who was married, so couldn’t use his own name or credit card,”

Beckman said she didn’t accept his story. She asked why he would subscribe at all and why he would purchase extra explicit content from her page.
She added she chose not to tell other family members because she wanted to avoid awkwardness.
She removed her cousin from OnlyFans and blocked his messages.
“I just don’t get why he would subscribe in the first place, and then use his real name. Like, did he want me to know it was him? And then what?”

After the discovery, Beckman said she has been avoiding family gatherings.
“I didn’t tell my family as I didn’t want to cause drama between everyone, I felt super awkward about it already,”
She said she feared the situation would spark conflict and that her cousin might deny the subscription and make her look dishonest.
Beckman has also achieved financial success on the platform. She now earns six figures each month from OnlyFans.
In a previous interview she said:
“I’ve always known that I would be in the sex work industry. I love exploring my sexuality and trying new things; its opened up a whole new world for me.”
