2 Strand Twists (Signature Look)
During the promotional photoshoot with Puma we see Lil TJays hair in 2 strand twists, a style that he has worn for the majority of his career.
His twists can be seen on a variety of public appearances such as interviews, press runs, radio as well as his own music videos.
The protective style can be worn for up to 6 weeks which is another reason we see rappers choosing the style, just remember to keep a line up routine every week or 2 weeks.
Though his signature hairstyle are his 2 strand twists we have seen him continuously alternate between them and his box braids.
The beauty of cornrows lies in the multiple styles that they can be braided in, and here we can see Lil Tjay styling cornrows with a middle parting.
Since rappers tend to be on the road, doing interviews and live shows the are regularly working throughout the day and night which makes cornrows a very convenient style for their lifestyle.
Due to cornrows being low maintenance it makes it easier for artists to manoeuvre around. Hair at that point is one less thing to worry about which explains his decision to constantly do protective styles.
