Kanye West has reportedly spent a staggering $850,000 on experimental titanium dental implants designed by himself, incorporating palladium and platinum.
Surprisingly, all of Kanye’s natural teeth remain intact. The implants, known as “fixed-prosthodontics”, were created with the help of medical and dental experts.
A source told Page Six that they are fixed and permanent, but go far beyond veneers or grills, calling Kanye’s design “unlike anything done before.”
To achieve the look, Kanye collaborated with Dr. Thomas Connelly, the “Father of Diamond Dentistry”, who manufactured and fitted the implants.
Kanye later showed off his $850k transformation on Instagram, even comparing himself to James Bond villain Jaws.
Dr. Connelly told the Daily Mail: “Ye was a pleasure to work with. His vision for designing unique art transcends dental progression. The marriage of his vision with dental science has created something epic.”
This isn’t Kanye’s first extreme dental move. In 2010, during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he revealed that he had replaced all of his bottom teeth with diamonds, saying:
“I just thought diamonds were cooler. It’s the kind of stuff rock stars are supposed to do.”
Now, it looks like his daughter North West (10) is already following in his footsteps.
She recently showed off diamond dental jewelry on TikTok, echoing a style her mother Kim Kardashian wore in 2021, when she had teeth covered in opal and diamonds.
North also made her stage debut at one of her father’s shows, performing a rap feature that is expected to appear on Kanye’s upcoming co-album with Ty Dolla Sign, “Vulture.”
With Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as parents, North West’s future career options appear limitless.
