There are reportedly a handful of celebrities on Ferrari’s ‘blacklist’, and some very high-profile names appear on it.

The Italian manufacturer builds some of the world’s most coveted cars.

Still, a few people cannot buy certain Ferraris even if they have the money.

Reasons vary, but a frequent cause is modifying a Ferrari without the company’s consent.

Here are the famous faces you are unlikely to see behind the wheel of a Ferrari anytime soon.

Justin Bieber:

The pop star once owned a Ferrari 458 Italia F1 Edition.

He took it to West Coast Customs and had the car wrapped in electric blue.

Reports say he also changed the wheels and altered the steering wheel’s prancing horse emblem.

The car later went to auction, listed by Barrett-Jackson.

‘Exterior wrapped in Frozen Blue chrome equipped with a wide-body kit by Liberty Walk includes full custom fender flares, front splitter, side skirt splitter and rear wing.’

Ferrari enforces owner rules, and one prohibits unauthorised modifications.

Another rule reportedly forbids selling some cars within the first year.

50 Cent :

‘Candy Shop’ rapper 50 Cent is also believed to be on Ferrari’s list.

In 2020, Curtis Jackson publicly complained after his Ferrari’s battery died and it required towing.

Sharing images of his red car being towed, he wrote on Facebook:

‘I don’t want this 488 Ferrari no more, i think i’m a get a smart car.’

Experience Ferrari says owners must help promote the brand image.

50 Cent’s post likely violated that requirement.

Kim Kardashian:

The reality star has recently been seen driving a Tesla Cybertruck.

But reports suggest she sits on Ferrari’s blacklist.

Reports claim Kardashian gained a reputation for not caring for a Ferrari as the company expects.

Some sources say she received a Ferrari 458 Italia as a wedding gift in 2011.

That gift reportedly came from a Malaysian businessman later convicted of financial fraud.

She no longer counts herself a Ferrari owner and now drives other cars.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ferrari sometimes restricts resale of certain models for a set period.

‘For certain models, Ferrari imposes restrictions on resale, often prohibiting owners from selling the car within a certain timeframe after purchase.’

Mayweather reportedly sold a Ferrari only months after buying it.

That quick resale is said to have landed him on Ferrari’s blacklist.

Ferrari has stated it does not completely ban customers, but it can restrict access to special editions.

‘Ferrari reserves the right to decide on special editions.’
