Chinese YouTuber Xing Zhilei, who trained as an engineer, has amazed viewers by creating a full miniature subway for his cats.
This creation is more than a toy or a static model.
It contains tunnels, a station, synchronized platform doors, and a moving train built for feline passengers.
The project took four months to finish.
Xing invested many hours in design, testing, and construction to bring the subway to life.

From cat house to subway expansion
The idea sprang from his audience.
Two years ago, Xing built an elaborate cat house featuring a Cybertruck, a spa, a quad bike, a supermarket, a garage, and a theater.
Fans loved the build and challenged him to go bigger, which led to the mini subway system.

Overcoming design challenges
Xing encountered two main obstacles early on.
First, he had to sync the train doors with the platform doors to make the system feel authentic.
Second, he needed a working escalator at a very small scale.
He tested, refined, and rebuilt components until everything operated smoothly.

The train feels alive.
The final setup shows a train gliding through tunnels and stopping at “Cattown Station”.
Platform doors open in sync with the train, letting cats hop on and off easily.
An announcement welcomes “arriving passengers,” adding charm to the scene.

The escalator brings realism.
The moving escalator gives the whole system an authentic subway feeling.
Xing said this part was one of the toughest to build.
He joked the cleanup was a “headache” and said he used a robot to help.

Attention to detail everywhere
Tunnels feel sturdy, the station looks polished, and the train is a small engineering marvel.
Although built for cats, the system resembles a model city that might appeal to train fans.
The careful details lift the project beyond a simple pet playground.

Building a bigger world for pets
The subway forms part of a larger mini world Xing keeps expanding for his animals.
Over time he has added features for cats, dogs, and hamsters.
His projects range from practical shelters to imaginative structures.
He once built 100 insulated shelters for stray cats in 48 hours.

A blend of engineering and love for animals
Xing’s subway demonstrates how engineering can be playful and creative.
It showcases his building skills and his dedication to improving pets’ lives.
By combining mechanics, design, and imagination, he created an underground world that is both fun and useful.
His cats now enjoy one of the most unique pet playgrounds built by an owner.
