China has banned OnlyFans, labelling it a ‘corrupt Western disease’.

The move comes as the country tightens control over its digital space.

Beijing said the platform, known for adult content, spreads ‘immoral’ online influences.

Although OnlyFans had been reachable via virtual private networks (VPNs) and third-party payment systems, this new ban removes those loopholes.

The restriction blocks access for both users and creators inside the country.

China has been clamping down on many Western platforms, including Instagram and Reddit.

Officials have also targeted several video games, imported films, and other social platforms.

Just last year, Newsweek reported the site became directly accessible again after years of being blocked.

Users confirmed on social media last December that they could visit OnlyFans without using VPNs.

Creators and users celebrated the change, but that relief now appears brief.

Social media users reacted to the ban.

Alex The Black Cap (@blackcapx02) said:

“I completely support China’s decision to ban OnlyFans.

I would recommend that all countries do the same, because it’s very rare for OnlyFans to be used in a positive or appropriate way.”

“Have to agree with China on this one,” supported another user.
