‘It was great seducing someone with your mind’
Angelina Jolie has said the “best sex” she ever had was with her co-star Denzel Washington.
Jolie starred opposite Washington in the 1999 thriller The Bone Collector.
She plays Amelia Donaghy, a cop who becomes romantically involved with forensics expert Lincoln Rhyme.
Together they try to catch a serial killer who abducts and brutally murders victims.
Washington’s character is a quadriplegic.
Because of his paralysis, Amelia inspects crime scenes and reports what she finds to Lincoln.
He guides her from his bed throughout the investigation.

The characters had to build their romance in a different way.
They relied on intimacy of the mind rather than on physical contact.
Speaking to Dark Horizons shortly after the film’s release, Jolie said seducing someone mentally was intoxicating.
“What’s fascinating are the journeys these two characters undertake, and the deep relationship that evolves between them,” she said.
“It was great seducing someone with your mind, a huge turn-on,” she added.
Referring to a scene where she uses smell and intellect to entice Lincoln, Jolie called it “the best sex I ever had.”

Jolie also said the shoot felt isolating and left her doubting herself.
“It was really lonely and I went a bit nuts. From the beginning, I felt as if I was not capable of doing this,” she explained.
“Of leading a film and being responsible for this, of physically handling this, of saving a life and going in there and being a cop,” she added.
“It nearly drove me insane because she [her character Amelia] was so insane inside,” she said.
Despite performing well at the box office, critics were largely unimpressed by The Bone Collector.
The film holds an average approval rating of 29 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
It also has an average score of 4.2/10.
