In no particular order, we are going to take a look at some of our favourite and not so favourite Andrew Garfield hair moments ranging from his,
- Wavy Quiff (Signature Look)
- Blonde Hair
- Shoulder Length Hair
- Man Bun
Since he has played a wide range of roles from Spiderman to a Jesuit priest his hair has had to be congruent in order to properly portray the character.
Whilst some hairstyles are under-appreciated we simultaneously have some we hope he never does again.
Our editorial covers his trademark look as well as hairstyles he’s had in support of movie characters.
Here are the Best & Worst Andrew Garfield Hair Moments
Wavy Quiff (Signature Look)
Verdict – We Love 😊
Without sounding too bias we give Andrew the title for best styled quiff in Hollywood and its clear to see why. His quiff is the epitome of class, men take notes.
The consistency of this hairstyle both on and off screen makes it his trademark look. There are a variety of ways we often see him wearing it, brushed to the sides or back.
Outside of himself we also see his peers styling their hair this way with Oscar Issacs hair being an example of a grey quiff.
The quiff is the gentleman’s look which is seamlessly worn for formal events (Both actors styling the quiff at the 2022 Emmys above) whilst it can also be worn In casual settings.
Blonde Hair
Verdict – We Love 😊
What happens when the natural brunette decides to go blonde for a while, the paparazzi captures every moment, he makes headlines and we love it.
Now whilst it wasn’t totally blonde as we could see strips of brunette it was still noticeable enough.
This was not for a particular role, rather the need to try something new and exciting which was expressed this way. Do we love it? Rhetorical question, course we do.
Disclaimer: Applying any sort of chemical to your hair is a very risky job as this can lead to breakage or thinning if not done correctly, therefore we always recommend you use a professional.
Shoulder Length Hair
Verdict – Not our Favourite ☹
Certain roles requires actors to grow their hair which was the case here as he portrayed a Jesuit priest in the movie silence.
In an interview with E news he said
“I had to kind of get lost in the wilderness [in Silence] so no barber shops in the wilderness in the 1600s in Japan, I didn’t find one anyway.”
Shortly after the movie was complete we saw him revert back to the classic quiff and has remained that way ever since, that is until another movie role calls for his long locks.
Man Bun
Verdict – Neutral Feelings 😐
In the advent we ever see Andrew grow his hair again don’t be surprised to see him in his man bun!
During an appearance on good morning America the actor admitted his long hair bothers him.
He revealed that it took almost a year to grow and that it wasn’t something he would want to do again.
Now whilst were not fond on the style for him, it may work for you. Ensure the right position, use the right product with the option to fade the sides or not and your good to go.
Messy Curls
Running a few errands in the city early morning and what do we see, curly head Andrew!
What appears to be a mess is actually in fact the perfect opportunity for us to witness just how curly his hair can get.
Yes Andrew Garfield’s Hair is naturally wavy, however with the right product curls can be further accentuated.
A motion lotion on wavy hair whilst drying would enable similar results for you!
Hair Type
Andrews hair type is wavy hair which falls under category 2. He tends to keep his hair short to medium length.
His hair ranges between 2A and 2B which features loose waves that start midway down the hair shaft with straight hair toward his roots.
His natural hair colour is brunette.
Facial Hair
From the hipster beard, moustache and stubble we have seen it all.
Similarly to his hairstyle changes in support of acting roles we have also seen this to be the case with his beard.
- His stubble tends to be the facial hair of choice when not on screen.
- His hipster beard marks an era in which the actor was experimental.
- His full beard is the alternative look when he hasn’t seen the barbers in some time.
