Ever tried booking a holiday with no idea where to go?
You could scroll for hours hunting deals.
Or you could let someone else choose for you.
That is exactly what one airline is urging travelers to try with a new scheme.
Passengers board without knowing the destination, and only find out after landing.
The idea blew up after traveller Miss Jo (@therealmissjo) posted a photo of her departure gate on Twitter.
“You buy a ticket and board the plane. Then you find out where you are going. Would you do it?”

Would you trust an airline to choose your destination?
Reactions were mixed.
Some asked about visas.
Others worried about last‑minute accommodation.
Fair concerns, but not very daring.
For anyone up for mystery, the trip comes from Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).
It is the second time the airline has offered it to EuroBonus members.
Destinations remain secret.
However, Miss Jo’s post notes the flight stays within the Schengen area, so visas are not a problem.

Would you board this flight?
That still leaves packing dilemmas.
Imagine bringing winter layers and landing on Spain’s south coast.
Or arriving in Reykjavík with just shorts and flip‑flops.
Luckily, the airline’s most recent trip lasted only a couple of days.
You could pack a few options.
Even so, the uncertainty put some people off.
“Nope because I wouldn’t know what to pack,”
“Sounds pretty interesting… I wonder what the deal is with accommodation? You have to book that on arrival yourself?”
How do you book an ‘unknown destination’ holiday?
This is the second time SAS has run it.
It could be worth watching the airline’s website for future drops.
Last year’s flight ended up in Athens.
One comment under Miss Jo’s post says this trip touched down in Seville.

This flight landed in Seville—solid result
The airline said:
“As last time, tickets were made available exclusively for members, solely for points, and sold out in only 4 minutes.”
Companies such as Wowcher also run monthly ‘Mystery Holiday’ deals.
These are not limited to the European continent.
You might end up in the Maldives, Bali, or beyond.
